Philip Pletcher is a pianist, actor, arranger, conductor and singer who began picking out his favorite tunes on the piano at the age of four. His career has taken him throughout the United States and Canada and his love for the piano never wanes. A resident of Grand Rapids, he is active in West Michigan as a soloist, teacher, collaborative pianist and conductor.

Phil received his BA in Piano Performance from Bethel College and pursued his graduate studies under Ralph Votapek at Michigan State University. He has served as President of the Michigan Music Association, Music Director of St. Cecilia Music Society, Rehearsal Pianist for Opera Grand Rapids, Music Director at Plymouth United Church of Christ, Grand Rapids, and on the boards of various arts organizations.

Currently he is Music Director at First (Park) Congregational United Church of Christ in Grand Rapids, Co-Conductor of the West Michigan Gay Men’s Chorus and Pianist for the Schubert Male Chorus.

Phil performs in the trio colla voce and sings bass in the a cappella male quartet Half-N-Half. He spends his summers pursuing his love of acting, his most recent role being that of Mickey Fox in Neil Simon's 45 Seconds from Broadway for Jewish Theatre, Grand Rapids.
